Shopping on the Beach-Cottages Web Site - Making Your Reservation,  Personalizing Your Vacation

To enhance the experience of your Beach Cottage Escape, we offer a variety of special packages, mini holidays and attractive mid-week rates that can be specially tailored to your needs.  Please do not hesitate to ask me if an interest of yours is not listed on these pages.

  • Rates currently offered on-line are:
    - High Season and Low Season Rates
    - Daily, weekly and Monthly Rates
    - Package Rates

  • Rates are displayed on each Home's descriptive page.  Rates will only appear when available for the entire length of stay.  (For example, some homes are not available by the month during the summer, or peak season.)

  • American Express, Visa, MasterCard & Discover Accepted.  Checks also accepted.  Long range payment plans available.

Advance reservations are required.  Holiday rates do apply to major national and religious holidays, as well as to major event dates.  All offers are subject to availability.  Rates are per home, for two guests per bedroom.  Rates are subject to change.

Rates displayed include taxes, housekeeping and service charges.  Please continue reading for information on security deposits, extra guests, cribs and personal services such as baby and pet sitting, personal chefs, grocery shopping service and daily housekeeping.

Our rates do include housekeeping.  We require that you leave the house as you found it.  Should you require exit cleaning, please indicate this on the free-form below.

The Beach Cottage Rent On-line Reservation system is designed to let you make a reservation, with instant confirmation of your selected home and rate, if the internet is your preferred choice for shopping and reserving your room.  We do however, encourage you to call first, as homes rent very quickly and there may be a lag between reservations and updating of the site.  We also invite you to use our on-line reservations tools to shop, and then use the services of your travel agent, or to call our toll-free reservations office at 1-904-385-3888, if you would feel more comfortable making your final reservations using one of these services.

You can shop as much as you like without ever having to tell us who you are.  When you decide to reserve on-line, then you must complete a profile so we can obtain the information necessary to make a reservation.

Are the On-line Rates the Best I Can Get?

A common question is:  Are the on-line rates the best I can get?  Often, the answer is yes, especially during peak seasons.  However, we are pleased to offer 5% discounts members of the US Armed Forces and 5% discounts to seniors.  (These discounts may only be used on non-holiday dates of a week or more and are only applicable at the time of reservation.)  If renting several homes for a family reunion or meeting, we will do our best to drop rates to accommodate you.  We also will discount on last-minute reservations based on availability.  Please call anytime, to ask me about our specials!  Steve Milo 1-904-385-3888 or email:  

Your Traveler Profile

In order to make an on-line reservation, you must complete a traveler profile, that includes:

  • Name

  • Home/Business Address (Delivery Address)

  • Home/Business telephone Number

  • E-mail address

  • Company Name

  • Credit Card Number

  • Credit Card Billing Address

Canceling Your Reservation

Another unique aspect of our business is that we don't provide any refunds.  We homeowners are working hard to keep our homes in tip top shape for you -- and for our families.  Our participation in this rental endeavor is taken very much to heart.  As you book your reservation at our homes, please know that this is not the holiday inn.  We're all paying our mortgages, taxes, maintenance, and a zillion expenses.  It's quite an extraordinary effort.  When a reservation is made, dates are blocked and other guests are turned away.

Should your plans change, after your deposit or full payment has been made, we will happily reschedule your vacation to a mutually convenient time.  We have adopted this program for the past year, and while only a few people have actually had to make changes, both the guests and the owners are able to work through changed plans.

Selecting A Home
If you click on the individual Home photos on the Vacation Properties page, you will see a detailed description of the home.  Please note that room photography is intended to provide you with a feel for the beauty and quality of the rooms at the home in order to determine actual physical details and views of each room type at the home. Should you wish to inquire about a few different homes, please enter the home names in the Comments area below.  I will call you to help plan your vacation, reunion or meeting.


Please ensure that you check the Home for the maximum number of adults, children and extra beds allowed per home.  Please include the names and ages of children who are traveling, in the special request free-form field of the reservation.  Each child counts as one guest.  If you require a crib, please indicate this in the special request free-form filed of the reservation.  There is a $35 charge for set-up and take-down of full sized cribs.  Porta-cribs are provided free of charge.

Extra Person / Extra Bed

Additional guests must be approved in advance.  Each child counts as one guest.  For approved additional guest, over 12 years of age, there will be an additional $40 per night per guest.

  • Please specify in the special request section of the reservation if an extra person will be sharing the house; note if the extra person is an adult or child (over 12 years of age).

  • Please include the names and ages of children who are traveling, in the special request free-form field of the reservation.

  • If you require a crib, please indicate this in the special request free-form field of the reservation.  

Requests / Additional Information
There is a special text area on the screen, just after the credit card guarantee selection is made and prior to confirming the booking.  This field can be used to send additional information and to make requests.
  • Some requests are subject to availability and I will always do my best to accommodate your needs.  These requests are:
  • Smoking/non-smoking
  • Early check-in
  • Late check-out
  • View (unless included in the home booked, i.e. ocean view home, ocean front home, pool, etc.)
  • Adjoining homes

Other special requests require some extra time in order to obtain a reply and confirmation from other owners.  You should normally receive a message from our on-line reservations department in two to three business days to advise you whether your request can be confirmed.

If you wish to make a request and/or provide additional information to an existing on-line reservation, please send an email to me at  include your home and dates, along with your new information.  This message will reach our on-line reservations department directly.  Our staff will adjust your booking and will forward the new information/request with the owner.

Pets Welcome at Many Homes
Pets are welcome at many of our homes.  We don't just permit them - we welcome them!  We've had lots of dogs, a few cats and even a parrot!  Some of our homes do not permit pets, so please be considerate of this.  The pet fee is $125 per pet regardless of the length of your stay.  Pets are not allowed on the furniture or bedding - you will be charged hefty cleaning fees if you ignore our request.  Prior permission must be granted to bring your pets.  Current vet certificates and promise of a flea prevention program must be provided at the time of booking.  See the Rental Agreement for full details.
Baby-sitting, pet-sitting, home grocery shopping, daily housekeeping, personal chef services
